SipMetric: Net Hydration is an iOS hydration journal that calculates net hydration from the drinks you record. This Privacy Policy explains what is processed on your device, which system permissions are optional, and when information can leave the app through an action you initiate.
1. Information Processed on Your Device
SipMetric: Net Hydration stores the information you choose to enter in the app, including drink entries, beverage types, custom hydration coefficients, daily goals, optional body weight used for goal calculation, wake and bedtime preferences, reminder rules, 21-day plan progress, achievements, mood tags, favorites, tip preferences, and trend history. These records are stored locally with Core Data and are not uploaded to developer-operated servers.
The app does not collect or access contacts, precise location, photos, camera, microphone, or data from health and fitness services.
SipMetric: Net Hydration may create a review card or export content locally. The generated image or text remains in the app until you explicitly choose an iOS sharing action.
2. How We Use Information
We use your data only to:
- Calculate and display net hydration, hydration debt, and daily goal progress;
- Apply the hydration coefficients associated with your recorded drinks;
- Schedule the local reminders that you enable;
- Show plans, achievements, drink patterns, mood patterns, and hydration trends on your device;
- Play optional local feedback sounds when you log a drink, subject to your settings and quiet-hour preferences.
3. Sharing and Disclosure
SipMetric: Net Hydration does not require an account and does not transmit your hydration records to developer-operated servers. Information leaves the app only when you deliberately use an iOS sharing action, such as sharing a review card or exported content. You choose the destination, and the selected service handles the shared content under its own terms.
4. Third-Party Services and System APIs
The core SipMetric: Net Hydration experience does not use external data services, social sign-in, analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or tracking SDKs. The app uses standard iOS services for local notifications, local audio feedback, image rendering, and user-initiated sharing. Local notification authorization is requested only when you enable a reminder that needs it.
5. Data Security and Retention
Your records remain on your device until you edit or delete them, clear the app's local data, or uninstall SipMetric: Net Hydration. We rely on iOS storage and data protection features. You should keep a device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID enabled for additional protection.
6. Your Choices
You can edit or delete drink records, custom beverages, plans, reminders, preferences, and other locally stored content at any time. You can disable notification permission in iOS Settings and turn off individual reminders in SipMetric: Net Hydration. You can stop sharing by not invoking the iOS share action. Uninstalling removes the app and its locally stored data from your device, subject to standard iOS backup and restore behavior.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
